Truth Over Lies

Here are the prayers you can use to guide you during your Journaling Time, following your Day 7 Reading.

1. REVEAL

“Holy Spirit, as I surrender my soul (mind, will, and emotions) to You right now, I ask that You reveal to me any lies and ungodly beliefs that I have adopted and believe/d about myself. As we work through this process together, I thank You, Lord, that You are with me and that You are ready to heal my heart, set me free from the lies, and help me live in Your truth. As You speak to me now, bring to remembrance any events that have occurred to offset these lies. Guide me, I pray, in Jesus’ mighty name.”

2. REMOVE

“Father, I confess that I have believed the lie that _____________” (insert the first lie from the list you made in point 1).

“Lord, please forgive me for accepting this lie and for living my life based on an ungodly belief that does not agree with Your truth or glorify You in any way. I reject the lie and I, instead, receive Your truth and forgiveness.

I also choose to forgive myself and anyone else who has contributed towards forming or reinforcing this lie in my life. I renounce my agreement with this ungodly belief, and I break this lie and all its negative effects over me, right now, in Jesus’ powerful name.”

3. REPLACE

Part 1 “Jesus, as I give You each lie, I thank You that You have MANY truths to show me. So now, I pray, come and replace every ugly lie with Your beautiful truth.”

Part 2 “Father, today, I choose to agree with You. I accept, receive, and believe the TRUTH that _________________” (name each truth He gave you).

4. REMEMBER

Keep your TRUTH LIST in a place where you will continually remember what God has said to you today so that you can continually live it out ( i.e. read it on the run!)
